If I were poem-Alligator

                 

          ALLIGATOR

If I were an alligator I could open my eyes under

cold water for a long time without blinking

and seeing lots yummy fishes swimming past me.

      

If I were a alligator I would have a strong

grey skin that can go in the freezing cold

water to get fishes for me and my family.

If I were a alligator I could blend in in with the

lakes colour and sneak up to the fishes

and swallow eat them.  

If I were an alligator I could sleep with

a bunch of other alligators to keep me

and other alligators warm.
